| ANC Gauteng chairperson Paul Mashatile says a meeting of provincial leaders in Mpumalanga over the weekend aimed to get rid of slate politics.

JOHANNESBURG - African National Congress (ANC) Gauteng chairperson Paul Mashatile says the aim of a meeting of provincial leaders in Mpumalanga over the weekend was for the ANC to emerge as a united front.

Mashatile said the meeting aimed for the provincial leaders to find a consensus on top leadership.

Mashatile says they are trying to get rid of slate politics and aim to go into the December conference with one leadership in mind.
