Convicted serial rapist back in WC court for sentencing proceedings

CAPE TOWN - Sentencing proceedings against convicted serial rapist Sikangele Mki continue today.
The 34-year-old was arrested last year following a five-year investigation.
The State has called for 15 life sentences and an additional 110 years to be handed down to Mki.
He pleaded guilty to all the charges against him, including 30 counts of rape.
The serial rapist took to the witness stand last week at the Western Cape High Court, saying he was sorry for the crimes he committed, adding he pleaded guilty because he did not want to waste the court's time.
He attacked women in Delft and Khayelitsha between 2011 and 2014.
