Temperatures in the Northern Cape town dropped to -9 degrees, leaving the area covered in a blanket of snow.
Local guesthouse owner Juanita Hutchings says that guests couldn’t wait to get outside.
“Some of our guests had another cappuccino at a local restaurant while they waited for the pass to be opened. It was amazing and a great privilege for the guests to experience the snow and the town.”
