[LISTEN] Fibroids: Why awareness matters

| Fibroids are described as benign tumours in the womb, leading to acute pain.

CAPE TOWN – Several women in Sub-Saharan Africa suffer from uterine fibroids.

Fibroids can be painful and there are several symptoms, including lower back pain and pelvic discomfort.

Dr Lawson from the Netcare Seminar Hospital and the White Dress Project's Keabetwse Nguza talks fibroid awareness and answers questions in the audio above.
