About 20 million so far cast their ballots in Iran's presidential election

JOHANNESBURG - About 20 million of Iran's 56 million eligible voters have so far cast their ballots in the country's presidential election.
President Hassan Rouhani is facing off against hardline cleric Ebrahim Raisi.
The polls opened at 8am.
Earlier on Friday Iranian voters flocked to polling stations to play their part in an election that pits incumbent President Hassan Rouhani against strong conservative opposition.
Rouhani, considered a moderate, was a key architect of the 2015 nuclear deal with the US, the EU and other partners.
The election is being seen, at least in part, as a referendum on that agreement, which has so far yielded mixed economic results for Iranians.
