CAPE TOWN - Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Des Van Rooyen has explained why President Jacob Zuma did not address residents in Vuwani on Sunday.
Residents have protested and are demanding that their area is reincorporated into the Makhado Municipality and not a new municipality in Malamulele.
It’s understood the president was advised to leave, citing safety concerns.
