JOHANNESBURG - The family of two pregnant women who were killed on the N14 highway in Krugersdorp have asked for privacy while they come to terms with their loss.
The women were returning home from their regular medical inspection on Wednesday afternoon. When they tried to cross the busy highway, they were knocked over and killed by a car.
Their families were expected to visit the mortuary to identify their loved ones on Thursday.
The police's Tshepiso Mashele said: “We are also waiting for the post-mortem to reveal the cause of their deaths. The only statement will be taken from the driver of the vehicle.”
