Officials at OR Tambo International Airport says the contraband had been flown in from Mumbai and was wrapped up in brown sacks.
JOHANNESBURG - Customs officials at OR Tambo International Airport have confiscated 20,000 kilograms of male sexual enhancement tablets worth R20.6 million, which were en route to Swaziland.
Officials says the contraband had been flown in from Mumbai and was wrapped up in brown sacks.
Sars spokesperson Sandile Memela says all restricted and controlled substances must be accompanied with permits.
“We’ve handed over the shipment to the Medical Council of South Africa to look into the matter and we presume they will be working with the police to get to the bottom of the matter.”
