Manyi resigns from operational duties at Black Business Council
Mzwanele Manyi says the Progressive Professional’s Forum is still a member of the BBC, and that he has relinquished his operational responsibilities.
JOHANNESBURG – Former government spokesperson and businessman Mzwanele Manyi has confirmed that he has resigned from his operational duties at the Black Business Council (BBC), although he does remain on the council by virtue of being the president of the Progressive Professional’s Forum (PPF).
Manyi says the forum is still a member of the BBC, and says the only thing that’s changed is that he has relinquished his operational responsibilities.
He says he wants to shift his focus largely on the forum and the young professionals of PPF.
The businessman says he is involved in multiple projects and also had to decline the important appointment at the eminent persons group within the ministry of sports because of time constraints.
He says professionals should watch that they don't bite more than they can chew.
“If you think that by holding many positions you are going to be ineffective on some of them, drop them and focus so that you can make an impact. There is no point in me being head of the foundation, head of PPF and being head of policy.”
