Cameron Wilson claims he learnt of Lekita Moore’s murder the following day

CAPE TOWN - A teenager accused of murdering 18-year-old Lekita Moore in Valhalla Park claims he left a karaoke party on his own and only learnt of her murder the following day.
Cameron Wilson is facing four other murder charges in the Western Cape High Court.
He was arrested after Moore’s mutilated body was found on a field in Nooitgedacht in September.
She had been stabbed 98 times.
The victim’s older sister has testified the accused threatened the deceased with a sjambok outside their home on 10 September.
Wilson denies being aggressive with Moore on the day she was killed.
Mercia Moore claims her sister told her the accused did not want her to go to a karaoke party later that evening.
But Moore did attend the party with her sister and friends.
Her sister has told the court Moore left with the accused and his friends.
The 19-year-old on trial, however, denies this.
He’s also been accused of stabbing two other women on the same night.
