'Warthog' hunter who killed a man to know bail fate today
Stephen Heburn shot and killed a man who he mistook him for a warthog.
JOHANNESBURG - A Limpopo hunter who shot and killed a man he claims he mistook for a warthog will today know if he will be granted bail.
Stephen Heburn applied for bail earlier this week but his application was opposed by the State.
Limpopo police spokesperson Motlafela Mojapelo says the court will rule on the application today.
“He appeared on Monday and Tuesday for a bail application. The case was remanded to today where a decision will be made on his bail application.”
Heburn and a female accomplice were allegedly hunting for warthogs when they heard movements in a bush and fired shots in that direction.
