NFVF: 2017 Saftas will be bigger and better than before

JOHANNESBURG - The National Film and Video Foundation says this year's South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas) will be bigger and better than previous years.

The foundation says it has received applications from more than 400 actors, filmmakers and production houses.

Documentary feature film Doc-u- mentally and television drama The Road receiving the most nominations.

The film and television awards will be held in Sun City next month.

Foundation CEO Zama Nkosi said, “The numbers have certainly increased. But beyond that, the quality of the productions that are also going to be competing has also increased quite significantly.”
