SABC inquiry: Committee to discuss responses to interim report
The document was sent to the SABC, the communications minister and former SABC board chairs, as requested.
CAPE TOWN - Parliament’s ad hoc committee probing the fitness of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) board will start discussing the responses to its interim report on Tuesday.
The committee adopted a final draft report last month and public submissions on the report close on Thursday.
The document, which was made available through Parliament's website, was sent to the SABC, the communications minister and former SABC board chairs.
The committee hoped to conclude its work by next week before submitting its report to the National Assembly.
During its last meeting, however, it resolved to finalise it without including any recommendations until those implicated were given a chance to respond.
