Two killed in PetroSA accident

The circumstances around last night's tragedy are being investigated by police.

CAPE TOWN - Two workers have died in an incident at the PetroSA refinery in Mossel Bay.

The circumstances around last night's tragedy are being investigated by police.

The police's Malcolm Pojie says: “I can confirm police opened an inquest docket following the death of two workers. The circumstances are not clear yet.”

The fuel giant says that the Inspector of Mines and the Labour Department will jointly probe the incident along with police.

PetroSA’s Thabo Mabaso says: “Two of them fell unconscious and alarms were raised. Our medical response team took action and tried to resuscitate both colleagues.”
