9 hurt in fire engine crash in Roodepoort

Four other vehicles were involved in the incident but it is not clear what caused the accident.

JOHANNESBURG - A Johannesburg Emergency Services fire engine has crashed, injuring nine people in Constantia Kloof, Roodepoort.

Four of the injured are emergency personnel.

Four other vehicles were involved in the incident, but it’s not clear what caused the accident.

Emergency services spokesperson Nana Radebe says the road has been partially closed.

“We have nine patients. Seven patients are in a stable condition and two others have been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Everyone else is okay and we’ve managed to take them to nearby hospitals.”
