JOHANNESBURG - About ten areas in the Johannesburg region are currently experiencing outages due to a power trip at the Kelvin substation.

The city has confirmed that technicians are working to restore power.

Some of the affected areas include Lyndhurst, Highlands North, Glenhazel, Birnham and Lombardy East.

Officials says power has been restored in the Rosebank area.

Spokesperson Yumna Sheik says: “The technicians are still currently confirming what exactly the fault was that has caused the power trip. This has affected the greater prospect area.”
