Cape Town City FC down Wits to extend lead

JOHANNESBURG – Cape Town City beat Wits 3-2 to extend their lead at the top of the PSL at the Bidvest Stadium on Friday night.

Two goals from Lebogang Manyama and a goal from Roland Putsche, saw the visitors walk away with a much needed victory for coach Eric Tinkler’s men.

The Students have now lost two games in row, having lost 2-0 to SuperSport United midweek.

The Gavin Hunt men are now third on the log, but on equal points with Matsatsantsa, who are second, on 20 point apiece.

Wits goals came from Bongani Khumalo and Eleazar Rodgers.
