CAPE TOWN - Two teenagers will appear in court soon in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Hanover Park.

Grade 8 learner Justin Abrahams was attacked while on his way home from Mount View High School on Tuesday afternoon.

Abrahams and a safety volunteer were crossing a field opposite the school when three people accosted them.

Western Cape Education MEC spokesperson Jessica Shelver says: “He was rushed to a day hospital where he later died. The incident has also traumatised all concerned and our Safe Schools division arranged trauma counselling for all the educators and learners at the school. The police are patrolling the area to increase visibility.”
