South Africans shine bright in the IPL
De Kock clobbered a 48-ball century, helping his side easily chase down a very competitive total of 191.
JOHANNESBURG - Quinton de Kock showed his class with the bat once again on Sunday night when he guided his Indian Premier League franchise, the Delhi Daredevils, to a seven-wicket victory over the Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is featuring his Proteas teammate AB de Villiers.
De Kock clobbered a 48-ball century, helping his side easily chase down a very competitive total of 191, set by the Royal Challengers.
De Villiers played another significant innings for RCB, notching up 55 off 33 balls, which was part of a 107 run partnership with captain Virat Kohli.
De Kock and De Villiers' performances are the latest of a number of stellar contributions from the South African contingent, but the former's century stands out the most because he singlehandedly won the game for the Daredevils.
The 23-year old de Kock is now in the top five highest run scorers in the tournament, along with his Proteas T20 captain, Faf du Plessis, both with 184 and 170 runs respectively.
