Uber driver shot dead in CT

CAPE TOWN - Police are investigating the murder of a Cape Town Uber driver following a shooting incident outside the Baxter Theatre Centre.

The man was killed while waiting to collect passengers at the time of the incident on Friday morning.

No arrests have yet been made.

The police’s Andre Traut said, “The circumstances around the death of a 49-year-old man are being investigated by police. He was shot and killed while sitting in his cab on Friday morning. The motive is yet to be established.”

MAN STABBED TO DEATH IN HENNENMAN

In a separate incident, a man has allegedly been killed by his sister’s boyfriend in the Free State.

The 40-year-old man was killed in a brawl outside a local tavern in the township of Hennenman.

Authorities say he died after being stabbed in the head several times.

The suspect has been arrested and will remain in custody until wednesday.

“He died on the scene, police managed to arrest a 30-year-old male and confiscated the knife he used to stab him. The suspect will remain in police custody pending his appearance in the Hennenman Magistrates Court.”
