JOHANNESBURG Transport Minister Dipuo Peters is satisfied with the decrease reported so far in the number of road deaths this Easter weekend but says she remains concerned.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation says there is already a 62 percent decline compared to the same period last year.

The department's spokesperson Ismael Mnisi, says although the decline in the death toll is an encouraging start to the Easter weekend, officials will not become complacent.
Drivers dont exercise caution all the time so we would like to re-emphasise that point to be cautious and take responsibility.
Mnisi says drunk driving remains a major problem.
