Hawks confirms it will investigate Guptas, Duduzane Zuma

JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks have confirmed they are now investigating charges of corruption laid against President Jacob Zuma's son Duduzane, as well as the Gupta brothers.
The charges were laid in Cape Town by Democratic Alliance (DA) Member of Parliament David Maynier, following revelations by Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas that he was offered Treasury's top job by the family.

The offer was apparently made while Nhlanhla Nene was still minister of finance.
The Guptas have challenged Jonas to back up his claims in a court of law.
The Hawks say they aren't able to divulge the nature of their investigation just yet.
Spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says, "We received the docket concerning matter between the DA and the Guptas. The case has been transferred to us and we will be investigating it. We won't be releasing the content of the docket as we still need to study it and see where we need to go."
