Tokai forest murder case postponed
All 4 men will be taken to Pollsmoor Prison before appearing again on 5 April.
CAPE TOWN - The case against the three men accused of raping and murdering 16-year-old Franziska Blöchliger in Tokai forest has been postponed to 5 April for a formal bail application.
A fourth man, facing a charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances, also appeared alongside them.
The four accused stared blankly ahead of them during their appearance.
The accused were kept in custody at the Wynberg Police Station's holding cells since their arrest, but will now be transferred to Pollsmoor Prison.
Angry protesters shouted at the four men as they were led back to the court's holding cells.
A small group of supporters had gathered outside the court ahead of the hearing today.
Some wore pink t-shirts which read 'Justice for Franziska' and 'Enough is enough'.
Supporters also observed a minute of silence for Blöchliger and murdered Khayelitsha teen Sinoxolo Mafevuka.
