JOHANNESBURG – Johannesburg Democratic Alliance (DA) mayoral candidate Herman Mashaba says that he would like South Africans to work together in stopping corruption.

Mashaba has called for Johannesburg to be a better city.

He was speaking in Alexandra yesterday.

Mashaba believes that society should stand up against corrupt officials as this results in poor service delivery.
He has described corruption as ‘a cancer’ that needs to be destroyed.

“Corruption, without any doubt, is going to be public enemy number one. It destroys jobs and service delivery.”

Mashaba has also highlighted the importance of public servants in South Africa.

The mayoral candidate believes creating a culture where every person in the country is taken into consideration will make South Africa a better place.
