The four appeared in a courtroom packed with community members, family, and friends of the Blchliger family.
Two of accused entered the courtroom smiling at members of the public gallery.
Three have been charged with murder, rape and robbery, while the other is only charged with robbery.
It emerged in court that forensic evidence at the crime scene could link three accused to the rape of the teenager.
Family and friends shook their heads and gasped aloud when they heard details of how the girl was beaten and strangled to death.
