Kannaland Municipality to start paying off R12.7m Eskom bill

Kannaland municipal manager Morne Hoogbaard said, "It's a obviously a much smaller amount paying it monthly, but over a long period of 40 plus months and that's what we can afford to settle the debt."
Eskom's Khulu Phasiwe said the company will assess the situation over the next few days.
"We've said to them if we're not happy with the time they're taking to come back to us for the plan itself as to how they're going to pay us going forward, then we'll exercise our right to terminate their services."
