JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng motorists are being warned of possible flooding on low lying highways like the N1 and R21.
The South African Weather Service says it's expecting around 50 millimeters of rain over the next 24 hours.
The wet weather is expected to continue into the weekend.
Weather service forecaster Elizabeth Webster said, "Especially road users travelling on the N1 and R21… places on the N1, especially in Johannesburg, they generally flood from very little rain, especially where the road builds up there's possibly of flooding."
