2 weeks left for submissions on Draft Sanitation Policy
The policy sets out guidelines on how govt should deal with sanitation-related matters.
CAPE TOWN - There are still two weeks left for the public to make submissions on the Draft National Sanitation Policy.
The draft policy, which was gazetted by the Water and Sanitation Department last month, is currently open for public comment.
It sets out guidelines on how government should deal with sanitation-related matters.
The Social Justice Coalition's Axolile Notywala said, "It confirms that people who are living on private land should be provided with basic services. The fact that you live on private land doesn't mean that you can't. It's not going to be part of legislation."
