JOHANNESBURG - The Varsity Cup board has postponed matches for another week to allow universities dealing with student protests the time to resolve various issues.
Matches were postponed last week, following a brawl at the University of the Free State.
Spectators attacked protesters who had stormed onto the pitch during a rugby match.

Varsity rugby matches have been put on hold for yet another week while tensions are diffused.
The board has granted all the affected parties more time to address their challenges adding that the safety and well-being of players and fans is important.
The tournament's CEO, Duitser Bosman says their decision is influenced by the well-being of the students and fans.
The situation will be reviewed weekly.
