2 arrested for Worcester Hospital child abduction
The 10-day-old infant was snatched from the hospital’s maternity ward late last week.
CAPE TOWN - Two people arrested in connection with the abduction of a baby boy from Worcester Hospital are expected in court tomorrow.
The 10-day-old infant was snatched from the hospital's maternity ward late last week.
The police's Noloyiso Rwexana said, "I can confirm that two female suspects, age 17 and 42 were arrested yesterday in Ashton in connection with the 10-day-old baby that was reported after missing at Worcester Hospital on Thursday."

The baby vanished during visiting hours at the hospital.
Following an intensive search, the child was tracked down and found over the weekend.
The provincial health department is also investigating the circumstances surrounding the child's disappearance.
The department insists security at the hospital is tight and has confirmed a security guard was on duty at the maternity ward's entrance on the day the little boy was snatched.
