CT toddler 'stable' after falling from moving train
The child, aged 2, was with her parents when she fell out of the train and landed on the railway track.
CAPE TOWN - A Cape Town toddler remains in a stable condition in hospital after falling out of a moving train carriage and landing on the railway track.
The incident was reported between Diep River and Heathfield stations yesterday.
The two-year-old was with her parents at the time.
There are unconfirmed reports the train's doors allegedly opened before coming to a halt at the station.
The Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital spokesperson Angelique Jordan said, "The two-year-old girl was admitted with head injuries yesterday, but she is conscious and in a stable conditions."
Metrorail says the matter is under investigation.
