More officers to be deployed to Diepsloot Police Station
The new station was opened yesterday & currently has 120 officers responsible for over 1 million residents.
After many delays, court cases and a budget decrease to R105 million for the police station, the new station was opened yesterday, eight years after construction started.

At the moment, only 120 officers are working at the station, which is responsible for more than a million residents.
However, concerns have been raised about the number of police officers which will have to service a relatively large community.
Phahlane says they will work with mobile officers to spread the visibility across the township.
