Camps Bay Beach voted second best in Africa

The TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards has published a list with world’s best beaches.

CAPE TOWN – With a diverse selection of beaches, it’s not surprising that the Mother City scooped an award for one of its beaches.

Camps Bay Beach was been named the second beach best in Africa and took 17th place worldwide, among 25 other beaches.

The TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards published the list of winners saying Camp’s Bay Beach is “just what's needed” on a sunny day.

Winners are selected by thousands of users on the travellers’ website.

Reviewers lauded the beach for its child-friendly facilities, restaurants and its beauty.

The top 10 beaches are as follows:

1. Grace Bay (Turks)
2. Baia do Sancho (Brazil)
3. Playa Paraiso (Cuba)
4. Anse Lazio (Seychelles)
5. Cayo de Agua (Venezuela)
6. Flamenco Beach (Puerto Rico) 
7. Playa de Ses Illetes (Formentera)
8. Ngapali Beach (Myanmar) 
9. West Bay Beach (Honduras)
10. Nacpan Beach (Philippines)
