CAPE TOWN - Four arrests were made during police raids in some of Cape Town's most gang-ridden suburbs.
Metro police and the South Africa Police Service (Saps) raided homes in Lavender Hill and Hanover Park last night.
The night started off with a shooting just metres away from a contingent of officers conducting the operation.
A man was hit in the leg in a drive-by shooting.
A manhunt for the shooters led officials to the territory belonging to the 'Junky Funky Kids' in Lavender Hill.
Sniffer dogs were deployed to several properties but the gunmen were not caught despite intensive efforts by police.
During the operation, the city's Special Operations Unit managed to track down three wanted suspects and executed an arrest for drugs possession.
