UK band members all die in car crash
All four members of a British band, Viola Beach and their manager, have died after a car accident.
JOHANNESBURG - All four members of a British indie band, Viola Beach and their manager, have died after the car they were travelling in plunged off a bridge in Sweden.
Musicians Kris Leonard, 19, River Reeves, 19, Jack Dakin, 24, and 27-year-old Tomas Lowe were killed alongside their manager Craig Tarry, 32, while returning from the gig in what is thought to be a rental Nissan Qashqai.
Stockholm police said the accident happened when the band's car crashed through a barrier that was closed to stop vehicles as a drawbridge was opening up ahead.
The British group were performing at Where's the Music Festival in Norrköping on Friday night.
The victims were aged between 20 and 35.
