3.1 tremor hits Durban
It’s understood the tremor happened a short while ago and lasted just a few seconds.
JOHANNESBURG - A 3.1 magnitude tremor has hit Durban and surrounding areas. It's understood the tremor happened just after 11h30 am and lasted just a few seconds.
No injuries have been reported.
ER24's Russel Meiring says there may be a possibility of aftershocks.
"A tremor reaching 3.1 magnitude has hit Durban and surrounding KZN areas. We also urge all the members of the public if sustained any injuries to please immediately call 084 124 and make sure that if there are aftershocks to seek safe refuge."
This resident says it was a scary experience
"At first it takes the mind a little while to realise what is happening and then you realise that it was a tremor. It was quite a scary feeling; something that we are not used to."
