CAPE TOWN - The Grassy Park Community Policing Forum says many Parkwood residents have been left devastated following the killing of a 10-year-old boy.

The child was hit by a stray bullet during a gang shooting on Tuesday night.

The boy’s father and another man were also wounded in the shooting.

Two suspects have been arrested.

The forum’s Philip Bam says, “This is a matter of great concern for the community of Parkwood Estate and Grassy Park especially as another child has died in gang crossfire. It’s been going on for far too long and too many of our children are dying.”

Meanwhile, two people have reportedly been shot dead in Uitsig. It’s believed the incident is linked to gang violence.
