Skywise claims ACSA’s decision to ground the carrier in December was an ‘abuse of dominance’.

CAPE TOWN - The Competition Commission has decided not to move forward with a complaint against Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) by budget airline Skywise.

Skywise says ACSA's decision to ground the carrier during the busy month of December was an "abuse of dominance".

Flights were suspended last month because of unpaid airport charges.

The Competition Commission's Itumeleng Lesofe said, "The Commission Competition has decided not to pursue the complaint filed by Skywise against ACSA. Essentially, we have taken a view that this is a contractual issue which should be resolved through Civil Courts."
