Lynne Brown condemns DA members’ behaviour at Eskom
At least 30 DA supporters allegedly stormed Megawatt Park demanding to be addressed by the CEO.
JOHANNESBURG - Public Enterprises Minister Lynne Brown has criticised the Democratic Alliance (DA) for what she calls the unacceptable and irresponsible behaviour of party members at Eskom.
MP's Natasha Mazzone and Kevin Mileham, accompanied by at least 30 DA supporters, allegedly stormed Megawatt Park this afternoon demanding to be addressed by the parastatal's CEO Brian Molefe and handed over a memorandum.
It's understood the protestors gained unlawful entry to the building by using the entry card of a DA sympathiser.
Brown has called on party leader Mmusi Maimane to educate his members on the laws governing protests.
"Eskom provides 96 percent of electricity in this country. Petty politics puts the plants and offices at risk."
