CT woman seriously injured in paragliding incident
The details around the accident in which a 24-year-old woman was injured in Sea Point are unclear.
CAPE TOWN - A woman has been seriously injured in a paragliding incident in Cape Town.
Details are still sketchy.
Fire and Rescue Service's Theo Layne says, "At about 3:25pm we responded to a call in Beach Roa, Greenpoint, where we had a paraglider that had come down. She had serious injuries. The patient was removed by ER24 after being assisted by the City of Cape Town's medical staff and ER24."
ER24's Russel Meiring says the woman is in a critical condition.
"On assessment we discovered that the young woman had sustained severe injuries and was in a critical condition. The pilot had sustained only minor to moderate fractures. The paramedics treated the critically injured patient and provided her with advanced life support intervention."
