PTA cop murder: 4th suspect expected in court
Captain Kenneth Poortman was hijacked and stabbed to death over a week ago.
JOHANNESBURG – A fourth suspect arrested in connection with the murder of a Pretoria police officer is expected to make his first court appearance today.
The 34-year-old man was cornered in Pretoria Central over the weekend.
Captain Kenneth Poortman was hijacked and stabbed to death over a week ago, and his body was found along the Mabopane Highway.
His firearm was also stolen.
The police's Lungelo Dlamini says, “He will be appearing in the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Monday on charges of murder, kidnapping and hijacking.”
Three other men arrested in connection with Poortman’s murder appeared in the Pretoria Magistrates Court last week.
