The ethics factor behind human cloning

| Is the world ready for human clones? And if we are, why does cloning still make us feel so uncomfortable and wrong? Listen as assistant Philosophy Professor Molly Gardner talks us through the ethics of human cloning.

JOHANNESBURG - It's all systems go for human cloning according to Chinese scientist & Boyalife Group CEO Xu Xiaochun, who led the development of the world's first cloning factory.

Xiaochun's only fear apparently is that society is not ready to accept the cloning process.

The Boyalife Group, in collaboration with the Sooam Biotech Research Foundation, plans to clone 1 million cows a year by 2020.

The group is in talks for the development of primate cloning as well.

The big question now is, is the world ready for human clones? And if we are, why does cloning still make us feel so uncomfortable and wrong?

Are we playing God?

Listen to the SoundCloud above as assistant Philosophy Professor Molly Gardner talks us through the ethics of human cloning.
