Robertson man sentenced to life for raping stepdaughter
Lulama Qondani was convicted of assaulting, raping & murdering his five-year-old stepdaughter, Lisheko.
CAPE TOWN - A Robertson man has been sentenced to life in prison for raping his five-year-old stepdaughter and kicking her to death.
The child's mother was sentenced to 10 years behind bars, four of them suspended.
The pair were sentenced in the High Court sitting in Ceres this afternoon.
The couple killed five-year-old Lisheko Tuswa, by continuously assaulting and beating her.
During sentencing proceedings, judge Monde Samela described the couple as evil.

Qondani kicked the small child while wearing safety boots, which resulted in lacerations to her liver.
The doctor,who conducted the autopsy, testified that she found 1,000 litres of blood in the child's stomach.
The report indicated the five-year-old was repeatedly abused and raped, which resulted in lacerations to her private parts and a kidney infection.
She also had cuts to her ribs and lungs.
