Igesund makes four changes for Aus tour
Oupa Manyisa, Teko Modise, Thabo Matlaba and Kermit Erasmus have pulled out of the Bafana squad.
CAPE TOWN - Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has made four changes to his squad for their Australasian tour.
The coach drafted in Wits midfielder Siyabonga Nhlapo, Kaizer Chiefs veteran Reneilwe Letsholonyane, SuperSport United defender Sibusiso Khumalo and Platinum Stars striker Siphelele Mthembu as replacements for Oupa Manyisa, Teko Modise, Thabo Matlaba and Kermit Erasmus, who have pulled out of the touring party for various reasons.
Igesund said he was pleased with the composition of his squad.
"I am very happy with this squad. As I said before, I have identified around 34 players who form the core of my vision and all these replacements are part of that bigger group. We are going to Australia and New Zealand to compete."
Bafana Bafana play the Socceroos of Australia on 26 May, followed by a match against the All Whites of New Zealand on 30 May.
The squad returns to South Africa on 1 June.
