Google celebrates Freedom Day
The world’s top internet search engine, Google, has also joined in on the celebrations.
JOHANNESBURG - The world's top internet search engine, Google, has also joined in on the celebrations for twenty years of democracy in South Africa.
They've put up a doodle which resembles the South African colours and automatically directs users to various sites about Freedom Day when clicking on it.
Google's Julie Taylor says the doodle will be up for twenty-four hours.
"The doodle just really captures the spirit of vibrance and joy that we associate with Freedom Day and it also celebrates our amazing local arts and culture. We hope everyone gets a chance to see it and just share in the celebrations online as well."
