Itumeleng Khune charges withdrawn
The charges of reckless and negligent driving have been withdrawn.
JOHANNESBURG - Charges of reckless and negligent driving against Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune have been withdrawn in the Lyttleton Magistrates Court but he's been ordered to perform 10 hours of community service.
Khune was caught speeding on the N1 in Centurion in January.
Dressed in blue jeans and a grey top, Khune made a brief appearance at the court this morning.
The Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper did not say anything as the charges were read out.
He was caught driving 50 km/h over the speed limit in a sponsored Chiefs vehicle.
He will now undergo a divergence programme involving 10 hours of community service in under three months or the charges will be reinstated.
