Yusuf Abramjee held at gunpoint
Crime Line head Yusuf Abramjee and his family were held at gunpoint at their Erasmia home.
JOHANNESBURG - Crime Line head Yusuf Abramjee and his family were held up at gunpoint at their home in Erasmia this morning.
Shots were fired, but no one was injured.
It's understood gunmen cut the electric fence and gained entry to Abramjee's home where they held up the Crime Line chief, his wife and youngest son.
As the suspects fled, they fired at the house. A shootout then ensued.
Police are now searching for the suspects.
It's understood the armed gang was being chased by the police while being in the possession of a stolen vehicle and equipment commonly used in house break-ins. The first stolen vehicle was abandoned nearby.
The men are believed to be in their twenties.
