CAPE TOWN - Ajax Cape Town missed out on a possible three points against Bloemfontein Celtic at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Urban Warriors played to a 2-2 draw against the gritty Free State side.

A goal by Wanderson Costa Viana made sure Ajax got a point, but it did not do much for their hopes of moving out of the relegation zone.

Coach Jan Versleijan conceded although it was an exciting game they needed two more points.

However, he added the positive was that his team never gave up.

The Urban Warriors are third from bottom as Chippa United and Amazulu, who are below them, will play on Wednesday night.

In another PSL encounter, Mamelodi Sundowns drew 1-1 with Golden Arrows at Loftus Stadium.
