CAPE TOWN - Rugby superstar Sonny Bill Williams has won the biggest professional fight of his boxing career against South African Francois Botha.

The New Zealander won on a unanimous point’s decision and dominated the Brisbane bout from the start.

Williams has more than kept his dignity in tact with his victory over the accomplished Botha.

In only his sixth professional fight, Williams was composed and organised against the 44-year-old veteran, who has fought some of the best in the world including Mike Tyson.

Botha struggled to land a big punch on the tall and fleet footed Williams, but did manage to connect as they clock ran out in the 10nth and final round.

The judges may have called the fight unanimous for the rugby star but Botha believes he had him on the ropes at the end.

Earlier, Quade Cooper won his first boxing match.

Cooper knocked out Barry Dunnett in the first round.
