CAPE TOWN - Ernie Els will make a return to the course where he started his career.

He will play in the season opening Volvo Champions at the Durban Country Club which gets underway on Thursday.

Els says it is nice to play at the course again.

“I’ve been coming here ever since I was a youngster. This is the golf course where the heritage is from. I’ve had a bit of success here.”

Els says it's not an easy course.

“When I first went there I found it very tough and I still find it tough but I’ve had a bit more success. When I was an amateur I made some big numbers on this golf course so I’ve got to take it with some respect.”
